What was OPEN HOUSE?
OPEN HOUSE is a global architectural celebration founded in London in 1992, offering free access to notable buildings worldwide. Thessaloniki’s 2025 edition embraced the theme “Future Heritage – The Architecture of Today, the Heritage of Tomorrow,” exploring how contemporary design becomes tomorrow’s cultural legacy.
By participating, Teight Hotel reaffirmed its commitment to design, culture, and community—opening its doors not only to guests but to the creative heart of the city itself.
The interior of Teight Hotel has been thoughtfully redesigned to align with its new purpose as a smart, personalized hospitality space. The design focuses on comfort and practicality, creating an inviting atmosphere that enhances the guest experience. Strategic lighting, combining both direct and indirect sources, ensures that the spaces adapt to various uses throughout the day.
Aesthetic Harmony and Timeless Design
The interior design strikes a perfect balance between earthy tones, custom-made furniture, and wooden floors, paired with smooth marble finishes and sleek metallic details. The result is a modern yet timeless aesthetic that resonates with elegance and sophistication.
Teight Hotel stands as a celebration of architectural evolution and cultural vibrancy. Its participation in OPEN HOUSE Thessaloniki 2025 offers an exceptional opportunity to explore this landmark space and experience its perfect blend of history, innovation, and creativity. A Modern Revival of a 1970s Gem
Teight Hotel occupies a modernist building from the 1970s, carefully restored to preserve its architectural essence while meeting contemporary demands. The building’s original façade has been maintained, with upgraded window systems that accentuate its distinctive design. A key addition is the implementation of linear lighting on each of the eight floors, which automatically adjusts to complement natural light throughout the day.
